So here's my reasoning on why we're winning the "war on terror" and why the ultimatum issued by Al-Qaeda should be treated with the contempt it deserves.

Yes, they were able to pull off 8 suicide bombing attempts in London within the last 2 weeks. What did they really do? They killed 56 people - 4 of which were the bombers themselves so it's really just 52. Yes, the loss of those lives was tragic for their friends & family, but 8 bombs killing 52? Thats less than 7 people per bomb. I've read of traffic pileups that killed more than 52. Timothy McVeigh, while a trained soldier (Green Beret IIRC), was an amature terrorist compared to the thugs in Al-Qaeda who spend every waking hour of their day trying to figure out how to kill as many people as possible. McVeigh murdered 156 people with one bomb, the trained murderers of Al-Qaeda were able to kill just 52 with 8 bombs.

How does this translate to winning the war on terror? Think about it - if the countries of the world wouldn't be rounding up as many terrorist as they can find, the "best" of the terrorists would be out there right now planning these attempts and making their bombs. Since the "best" (sic) of them are currently rotting in jail or 6 feet under ground, its the shleps left planning these bombings.

Seven people per bomb.. shit, if I were insane enough to want to kill as many innocent civilians as possible, I know I could do better than that. Hell, give me a couple boxes of ammo and my 30-06 and I could kill more than 7 before the cops would (rightfully so) turn out my lights with a bullet to the head.

Here's some more food for thought. Last year in Madrid Spain, 3 weeks after the 3/11/04 train bombing there was a follow up attempt. In London, 2 weeks after the 7/7/05 bombings there was a follow up attempt. There is almost always an attempt by terrorists to follow a successful(sic) bombing with another.. so where was the followup to 9/11? Why wasn't Al-Qaeda able to blow up something else in the good ol USA within the last 4 years? Easy answer, and all you have to do is look at Gitmo prison to know why.

I watched Hotel Rwanda the other day, what a great movie. Don Cheadle gave a stellar performance as Paul Rusesabagina, who saved 1400+ refugees during the civil war that tore Rwanda during 1994. It really makes you sit back and wonder what exactly the U.N. is good for? The parallels between Rwanda and what is going on in the Darfur region of Sudan - countless dead, mass rapes.. its sickening how the world could stand by for so long and do nothing.

Another thing that really bugs the crap out of me, why is it every news source seems to be focused only on the body count for Iraq, and rarely - if ever - touch on what good is happening there? So, here's some good news about Iraq:

While reading Michelle Malkin, I happened across a link to Marine Corps Moms. Out-freaking-STANDING.. what a great site! Some of the posts in the archive really touched me. Glad to see that, even if the "Main Stream media" is busy bashing our men & women in uniform, there are so many bloggers out there giving them the support and accolades they deserve.

Anyone interested, the Marine Corps Commemoriative coin goes on sale July 20th. I'll be ordering a couple for sure.

Speaking of the MSM - what the fuck is wrong with this story? Wow - the 20th hijacker was *TORTURED* by being made to wear a bra and thong on his head? A women ran her fingers through his hair? Was lead around by a dog chain??? OH MY FUCKING GOD! The HORROR! The INHUMANITY! GULAG! INQUSITION! LET THE MILITARY HEADS ROLL! Fuck those writers.. thats not torture, that sounds like a fun night of sex. If thats torture, sign me up and bring it on baby - bring it on! I say we pack up those reporters and send them over to London to help clean up the poor innocent people who were murdered by the suicide bombers. Next they can go to Iraq and help scrape up the 30 dead children that the suicide bombers there intentionally targeted.

You want sympathy for the "tortured" guy who was supposed to be the 20th bomber on the World Trade Center towers? As my father - "The big guy" - always says, sympathy is in the dictionary, somewhere between shit and syphillis.

Seems that the people at Moorewatch.com aren't the only ones who are sick and tired of Michael Moore and the Dem's using the military for their own agenda. Read this amazing blog post at NRO from Capt. William Guenther, USArmy.

The Washington Post reports some Democrates in Congress take a trip down fantasy lane, and held a mock impeachment hearing against President Bush.. is it any wonder that pack of howling moonbats elected Howard Dean to lead the pack?

I had a topic I was going to write about, but got sidetracked on something else, so I'll save my "End of the world" for another time. This is just too damn important.

I've been reading about the Genocide that is going on in Sudans Darfur region, and its sickening me. It's no like no one knows what is going on there, hell the whole world knows. So why isn't anyone doing something about it? The Sundaese gov't is stopping the U.N. from going in there, but current estimates are that approximately 10,000 people per month are dying.

So what is the United Nations, the great world governing body that expects the USA to listen to its demands, doing about this tragedy? Absolutely friggin NOTHING. They are currently considering imposing sanctions on them.. BIG FREAKING DEAL. While they are busy "considering", thousands of people are being systematically murdered. The Darfur Consortium is trying to get the U.N. off their asses to do something about this situation, we'll see how that goes. If there ever was a need for a U.N. peace keeping force, this is it. How can the world turn a blind eye to a situation like this?

Factor in the AIDS epidemic in Africa, where in 7 countries 1 out of every 5 person is living with HIV, with AIDS being the #1 leading cause of death, and we are looking at a problem of epic proportions. Generations of people dying, and children growing up with no parental guidance, left to fend for themselves to survive day to day. What we (the world) have here is a problem that will come back to haunt us for generations if something isn't done about it. And what really gets under my craw is that (I can't believe I'm writing this) someone like Oprah is doing something about it while the U.N. and world governments drag their feet to address these problems.

I've been pondering the whole global warming thing over the last year or so. It seems that every time you read the news, global warming is causing some new real tragedy somewhere on the planet. They say that Global warming caused all the hurricanes this year, but what no one tells you is that the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration says hurricane strikes in the United States are less than one-third of the number that existed in the 1940s.

They say that the droughts are caused by global warming, then you read that Global warming is causing more rain. And now some people are trying to link the Tsumami in Asia to global warming (Umm.. how about 9.0 earthquake?).

Personally I think that global warming is bullshit.. at least, the belief that humans are causing any change in weather patterns. The time span for research is just way too short compared to the history of the world. If you want to claim that the glaciers in Alaska receeding are due to human caused global warming (ignoring the fact that in Iceland some glaciers are growing), please explain to me how 10,000 years go there was a glacier where my house is today? Did humans cause the global warming that made those glaciers receed? According to NOAA's own data, Why was the period of the 1930's to mid 1950's the same as today, and why was the mid 50s to the mid 70's so much cooler than the previous 2 decades? Another interesting point - why do the global warming theorists use the aveage temperatures of major cities, which continue to grow in size and are thus going to be hotter, instead of the temperatures of suburban and rural areas? I'll tell you why - because if they used the average temperatures of the rural areas they'd have to admit that Global warming is a myth, the average temp is NOT getting hotter.

Oddly enough, for Christmas I received Michael Crichton's book "State of Fear", a novel that deals with global warming. The relative who gave it to me had no idea what the book was about, but I'm finding it an interesting read due to the subject matter - in a nutshell its about the lies we're feed about global warming. In the back of the book are 5 pages of references on the research material he used to come to his conclusions, I expect to do some reading of those too.
